1. Problem


After connecting tvo-oil.com.tr to Google Search Console, the entire site suffered from a persistent indexing failure.
For about six months, almost all pages remained “Not indexed” due to a system-related issue, which meant:
- New pages and products were not appearing in search results
- Organic traffic and impressions were close to zero
- Google’s crawling and understanding of the site were clearly limited
The site is highly technical (oleochemical and industrial oil products), which added another layer of difficulty for both users and search engines.
2. Diagnostic Approach
I treated this as a full 360° technical and content SEO project, starting with:
- Reviewing indexing settings, tags, and robots.txt rules to ensure nothing was blocking Google
- Auditing the site structure, internal links, and 404 errors
- Evaluating content readability for technical product pages and categories
- Checking canonical tags and potential duplicate content issues
- Assessing UX/UI to see whether the site was easy to navigate and understand for users and crawlers
3. Solution & Actions
a) Technical SEO fixes
- Indexing controls: Cleaned and updated indexing tags and the robots.txt file so that all strategic pages were allowed to be crawled and indexed.
- Canonicalization: Implemented proper canonical tags on key templates and product/category pages to avoid dilution of signals.
- 404 handling: Identified 404 pages and redirected them to the most relevant live URLs to preserve link equity and improve crawl efficiency.
- Internal linking: Corrected and optimized internal link structure, making sure important categories, products, and main pages were easily reachable and logically connected.
- Instant indexing automation: Set up the Instant Indexing API via a Google Cloud Project, enabling faster submission of critical URLs for indexing.
b) UX / UI & Content Optimization
- UX & UI refresh: Updated the user interface and user experience across all pages, simplifying navigation and making information easier to find and understand.
- Readable technical content: For highly technical products and categories, I rewrote and structured the content in a more readable, user-friendly format to improve the readability score without losing technical accuracy.
- Expanded main page content: Strengthened and expanded content on main pages to clearly explain TVO’s value proposition, use cases, and product advantages.
c) Authority & Off-page SEO
- Built high-quality external backlinks from strong local Turkish websites, publishing long-form blog posts specifically about TVO and its solutions to improve authority and relevance in the Turkish market.







4. Outcome
- Google began indexing the site consistently after the fixes, with the number of indexed pages rising and stabilizing instead of being stuck in “Discovered – currently not indexed”.
- Search performance improved to 1.7K+ clicks and 26.9K+ impressions, with an average CTR of 6.5% and an average position around 8.1 (first page visibility for many queries).
- The site moved from a technical indexing problem to a healthy, growing organic channel, with better UX, clearer content, and stronger authority.
This project demonstrates my ability to diagnose and resolve complex indexing issues, align technical SEO with content and UX, and turn a non-indexed, underperforming website into a search-visible, traffic-generating asset.
